Hi all,
I hope you had a beautiful Mother’s Day, whatever that looked like for you.
This was my first as a mom of two girls, and it hit differently — more gratitude, more chaos, more awe at just how much mothers hold. This year was my first Mother’s Day as a mama of two girls, and wow… it felt big. Tender. Joyful. Exhausting. All of it. I kept thinking about the women in our orbit — the moms navigating firsts, the ones carrying grief, the hopefuls waiting to see two lines, the ones raising tiny humans while still figuring out how to care for themselves.
You're the heartbeat of everything we do here.
As always, I’m grateful to be building this space and this work alongside you — work that continues to center, honor, and reflect the stories of motherhood in all its messy, nuanced glory.
Below are a few upcoming opportunities across Mila & Jo Media that we’d love to connect with you on, from editorial features to agency partnerships.
Mila & Jo Media Opportunities
In just a year and a half, Mila & Jo Media has grown into a powerful storytelling platform and content marketing studio that reaches more than 150,000 TTC, expecting, and postpartum mothers monthly across web, newsletter and social. Our reach is hyper-niche and highly engaged, and we’re proud to share stories that mainstream media often overlooks — especially when it comes to a mother’s identity, mental health, and sense of self.
Here’s what we’re working on now — and how you or your clients can get involved:
Motherhood Identity Series
Pitch: Founders, creators, influencers, and cultural voices redefining what it means to be a mother.
Our signature interview series explores how motherhood changes us — emotionally, professionally, creatively, and politically. We’ve recently featured figures like Rumer Willis, Emily Oster, Karlie Kloss, Neha Ruch, and many others.
We’re looking for women with a compelling story around identity transformation in motherhood, whether they’re building a business, leading a movement, or navigating the push-pull of ambition and care.

Miscarriage Dialogues
Pitch: Personal stories about pregnancy loss, infertility, and grief.
This series lives on The Miscarriage Movement's Substack and centers real experiences of loss, uncertainty, and healing. We’ve featured everyone from WWE star Leah Van Dale to leading fertility specialists, mental health professionals, and everyday women whose stories help others feel less alone. We welcome both first-person submissions and contributed Q&As, and we’re especially interested in diverse voices and underrepresented grief experiences.

Motherhood Essays
Pitch: First-person essays from women in the TTC, pregnancy, postpartum, or early motherhood seasons.
We’re always looking for strong, honest writing that reflects the mother’s experience — not parenting tips, advice or how-tos. Whether you're processing the rage of postpartum hormones, the confusion of trying to conceive, or the identity shift that comes with leaving the workforce or returning too soon, we want to hear from you. Timely topics we’re prioritizing right now include LGBTQ+ family building for Pride Month and breastfeeding, pumping, and chestfeeding stories for National Breastfeeding Month in August.

National Breastfeeding Month Giveaway Partnership
Seeking: Brand partners for a joint campaign in August.
In honor of National Breastfeeding Month, we’re organizing a giveaway campaign across Instagram and our Substack newsletters. We're looking to partner with brands that support lactation, feeding, postpartum recovery, maternal wellness and the early motherhood experience. This is a great opportunity to align with a values-driven campaign and connect with our highly targeted audience. We can spotlight a single partner or create a bundle with multiple brands.
