Hi all!
Welcome back my weekly newsletter of media opportunities.
Below, you’ll see what I’m currently working on, along with instructions for pitching, personal updates and more. This newsletter will replace my current forms I use to gather sources and information. I hope you will find them helpful :)
Please reach out with any questions: pitch@lindsaytigar.com
Thank you, as always, for being so proactive and helping me meet my deadlines!
How to pitch
Email only! I keep my personal and professional life separate, so the best way to get in touch is always email: pitch@lindsaytigar.com
Send ONE email per opportunity below. I know it’s a pain. But I write upwards of 40-50 stories a month, and it’s the only way I can keep my sanity.
Please do not send commentary before I send questions. I vet all emails I receive and send specific questions to help my writing process. I will never accept or use unsolicited commentary.
I’ll share outlet via email, every single time. But I won’t post it here. Just ask!
Please follow formatting instructions. As we head into gift guide season, this is even more important. I explain formatting in emails, again, as a way to keep my sanity. It’s so helpful when you pitch appropriately!
Samples: Gift Guide Season is Here!
If you’d like to send me samples of your client’s products, please check with me first. Most of the time, I’m open to it, but I don’t want to agree to a product I would never cover. (That’s just unethical!)
Press Trip Invites
At this time, I’m not comfortable taking group press trips as the COVID-19 Delta variant continues to spur new cases. I’m fully-vaccianted, and I’m open to individual stays within the United States. As always, I can never guarantee coverage as a freelancer since I do not have say over the final edit of my stories.
I Moved… and I’m Pregnant!
Recently, my husband and I relocated to my hometown of Asheville, NC as we grow our family. I’m thrilled to share I’m expecting my first baby, due in March :)
If you represent a parenting/pregnancy brand, I’d love to connect. As you might have guessed from my story topics, I’m beginning to pitch tons of parenting content as we anticipate our little one’s arrival.
Current Press Opportunities
Please follow pitching instructions above, thank you!
Expert commentary
Financial advisors and climate activists to talk about the financial impact of climate change.
Dietitians/nutritionists and wedding experts to discuss how to avoid drinking at a wedding. This could be because of pregnancy or personal choice.
Financial experts and entrepreneurs on celebrating life’s milestone moments… without going bankrupt.
Entrepreneurs and climate activists on things ordinary people can do to help the climate.
Dermatologists and/or OBGYNs on skincare changes during pregnancy.
Psychologists, life coaches, etc on building confidence.
Real estate experts to discuss the current market.
Vets to discuss if dogs can detect pregnancy.
Vets to discuss candles and dogs (how it’s toxic, etc.)
Product round-ups
Seeking all of the baby gear! This is a splurge vs. save story for first-time parents, so think: strollers, changing tables, car seats, highchairs, you name it. No affiliate, but Amazon preferred.
I’m pitching What to Expect standalone product reviews that look like this. I’m looking for products that relate to pregnancy (clothing, pillows, beauty products, etc.), as well as baby/home (nursery decor, humidifiers, etc.) The product MUST be available on Amazon and you MUST be able to send a non-returnable sample.
Recent Work
Below are links to my byline page for my current outlets. By clicking on these links, you can see the most recently published work. If you don’t see it here, it likely isn’t published. Unfortunately, freelancers never know when stories go live but when it does, it’ll be here. Generally speaking, please allow six weeks before inquiring about publication.
For a pretty good collection of recent bylines, check out my Muckrack page.
